Bab’s Secret Lounge is located in the Trinity area just north of Tampa, and right off HWY 54 and the Veteran’s Expressway. There is no street entrance to this speakeasy. Instead, you must enter through The International Beer Garten and proceed to the back to a bookshelf. At the bookshelf you must enter the code that you pull off their Facebook page to enter using the garage-door style keypad which will open the secret entrance into Bab’s Secret lounge.
Once inside you can enjoy from a list of beverages and enjoy the look and feel of the lounge. It is a dark lounge with mood lighting to take you into a feel of an older 1900s lounge feel. Old Black and White movies play on the overhead television where you might catch an old run of the Three stooges. They have a wonderful drink menu offering a wide variety of drinks including Martinis and an Old Fashioned.
Some evenings do get busy so the “Secret Door” may actually be open. Sitting is limited in this old-fashioned style lounge. This is definitely a great date-night destination for a quiet desert drink and a unique experience.
